How do I restore my hair back to normal?

I used to have gorgeous shiny straight hair. Because my mother took care of it and I wasn't allowed to put one product or do one thing to it. But when I was 12, I started using the blow-dryer, gels, mousses, washing it every day, brushing constantly. And after about 3 years, my hair is super dry and has a bunch of waves and kinks and a little frizz. Now I can never just come out of the shower and let it air-dry.

How do I get my healthy hair back?

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

There is a product that VO5 makes called hot oil treatment. You place the tube in hot water, then comb it through your hair, put on a shower cap, then wait. After several uses, your hair will become shiny and healthier looking again, as it loses it's dullness and dryness.

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

try getting some kind of relaxer put in it

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

Try using Johnson %26amp; Johnson's No More Tangles on your wet hair, and letting it air dry (if possible), if you HAVE to dry it, dry it in front of the fan, or on the cool or warm setting on your hair dryer. I also heard olive oil instead of conditioner works really well!

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

%26lt;%26gt; that sucks

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

well you could stop using all that stuff now. atleast it would prevent future damage. or if you do use a heat protecting spray. hmm you could put it in braids when it air drys or put your hair up. use a wide toothed comb to try and get the kinks out. i think theirs stuff you can get for this o-o

try hot oil treatments or deep condictioning.

Get a haircut and just don't use any chemicals on your hair. Only wash it when is needed. Always use a comb instead of a brush. My hair used to be beautiful too, but since I started to have gray, I have to color it all the time and it ruins your hair. If you don't have that problem, try to be as natural as possible.

My hair is turning into a nightmare and i dont even know wat exactly is wrng wid it pleassse hellppp

i am 20 years old...i had healthy, proper hair since childhood though they were never that thick but my scalp was never as visible as it is now...and i am just not able 2 figure out why...4 years back i happened to straighten[iron] my hair.since i always had wavy hair, after straightening it for the 1st time it fasinated me.For months i ironed my hair, almost daily,at home having no idea wat it wud do 2 my hair....and by the time i realised my hair was badly damaged and lifeless...after that i also suffered from jaundice...bcoz of all this my hair has suffered terribly... and the partition had broadened so much that it almost seems like i am balding and my hair has lost its volume has bcum lifeless and looks tangled all the time no matter how much i comb it...i also saw a trichologist 2 fix the problem and he diagonised it he says its improving but i dont c much impovement...i hav stopped enjoying life bcoz of this and have withdrawn myslf in a cocoon..i need HELP...DESPERATELY!

My hair is turning into a nightmare and i dont even know wat exactly is wrng wid it pleassse hellppppppp!!!!!!

Try a volume shampoo and conditioner. This will help make your hair fuller. Then curl it and play with it to find new ways to fix your hair so you cant notice the part. I know its only a temporary fix but it may make you feel better. Try looking a Faith Hills hair. Sometimes she pulls it half back and puffs up the top. Its stylish and you could pull off the look im sure.

Does anyone know a good hair and skin vitamin?

take pre-natil vitamins, they are vitamins you take wile pregnant. They won't do anything weird like make you fat or anything, but they will make your hair and nails soo nice. My hair grew inches while i was pregnant from taking those.

Does anyone know a good hair and skin vitamin?

Pre-natal vitamins are great for hair (and your whole body), you can buy them over the counter, and no, you don't have to be pregnant to take them.

Does anyone know a good hair and skin vitamin?

wal mart, cvs, stores like that sell a vitamin called "skin, hair, and nails" its amazing.end of story.

Does anyone know a good hair and skin vitamin?

Does anyone know a good hair and skin vitamin?

Go to any drugstore (Target, Wal-mart, etc) and pick up a bottle of Vitamin A. Vitamin A is great for the skin and the hair :) The vitamin bottle isle usually has a booklet explaining what each vitamin does, you can use that to see what other vitamins may help with what you're looking for.

African American hair: How do i stop my hair from breaking off and sheeding too much?

I went through a bad breakup and it was very stressful but that has been a few months ago and my hair is falling. Before the relationship/break up my hair was a little past my shoulders and looking really healthy. My hair fell out so badly that i had to get it cut in a bob. I started using a deep conditioner once a week (for the past 2 weeks), moisterizing my hair every other day, using a leave in conditioner, and i take a hair, skin and nails vitamin. My bob has grown out but hair is still breaking and sheeding, i noticed the last time i washed my hair my was shorter and broken off at the top part of my head. When i started noticing the breakage i decided to stop getting relaxers for a while. After treating my hair the breakage has decreased, but what should i do to stop this? Will going from relaxers to natural cause my hair to break?

African American hair: How do i stop my hair from breaking off and sheeding too much?

If you keep taking care of your hair how you currently are your hair will start growing faster again. It just takes time. Make sure that you start using all natural hair care products like beauty 4 ashes super hair growth products or Aubrey organics to provide maximum moisture to your hair. Using natural hair care products will help keep your hair from being dry and brittle and thus more prone to breaking. Hope this helps.

African American hair: How do i stop my hair from breaking off and sheeding too much?

stop putting relaxer in your hair!

my mom had the same problem she hasnt relaxed her hair in like a year

i would just not put relaxer then braid your hair and never leave your hair untreated without any moisturizer and never without any like extentions to protect your hair

dont put in any relaxer at all just keep your hair like moisturezed then you should be fine

African American hair: How do i stop my hair from breaking off and sheeding too much?

Rainwater. I'm dead serious. Laugh and thumbs-down this answer all you want, but I'm dead serious. Rainwater is the best remedy for hair and skin. Next time it rains, do outside and allow yourself to get wet with it. Air-dry afterwards, do not wash or rinse afterwards. Comb it once dry. It will be unbelievably soft, shiny, and strong. This will work! Trust me!

Safty reminders (you probably knew already, but I don't want you to get hurt):

~Wear rubber shoes

~Check that it's not acid rain (yukyuk)

~Don't slip, it'll ruin your day

~You don't have to soak your hair, just make sure it feeels wet to touch.

~Don't do anything afterwards. Just dry your body off with a towel.

I'm sorry if you have to wait for rain to come, but trust me! It will work! Hopefully you live in Seattle, or somewhere close? Good luck!

My hair, is it healthier now?

ok so i used to use cellofane on my hair last year and it was fun . then about a month ago i bleached the bottom of my hair to a golden brown color . 2 days ago i dyed it all blue black and i love it ! it feels and looks healthier but does that mean that it is healthy ? [the bottom blonde part] i dont want it to break off ! p.s im african american so the hair problems may be different ..

My hair, is it healthier now?

YES; Your hair is PROBALLY More Healty Now !

My hair, is it healthier now?

seems so.

The front half of my head of hair will not take a perm. I am at my wit's end!!?

I am caucasian, with foiled but really healthy hair. I recently got 2 perms (about 1 month apart) from a fairly new technician at a salon... she used me as a model and used an Aveda perm.

Just like what happened in high school in the early 90's, the front half of my hair (from my ears forward) refuses to take the curl. The second time she tried it, she used a Matrix perm. Same thing.

People say that you should use gentler perms for lightened/bleached hair. I have a theory: If I lighten/weaken the front part of my hair and then use a medium or harsh-level perm, will it take the curl? What do I gotta do to make this work? Will it fall out? Help!

The front half of my head of hair will not take a perm. I am at my wit's end!!?

I had the same problem with my hair so I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and purchased a item called Pre-Wrap lotion it equalizes hair's porosity. I LOVE it!!! it works every time for me .

The front half of my head of hair will not take a perm. I am at my wit's end!!?

Is the hair on top the same length as the rest?? Did the stylist use the correct rod size? How did it turn out immediately after the rods came out?

DO NOT weaken your hair prior to a perm..it will cause breakage, sometimes right to the root.

The front half of my head of hair will not take a perm. I am at my wit's end!!?

I had the same problem. My top layer wouldn't take a perm as well as my other layers. My stylist used a smaller rod on that part to try and even it up

The front half of my head of hair will not take a perm. I am at my wit's end!!?

use quantum shampoo an conditioner,an use thair reconstrution conditioner,I would wait,at least 8wks try perm quantum platinum

I have very curly hair. i have started to get my hair healthy and have been thinking of dying it,any

I really need a good hair dye! One that moisturizes. My hair i really thick and curly hair and its dry, also kinda short.

I have very curly hair. i have started to get my hair healthy and have been thinking of dying it,any good dye?

If you have the money, I would get it done professionally, just because of your hair type (color and texture). Some of the commercial brands may not work. However if you do do try one, do the strand test first. It may be a little more time consuming but at least you'll get an idea if the color is what you want or for that matter even working, and it won't cost you as much. If you get it done at a salon and they mess up, they will fix it . If you dyi and you mess it up, then you may have to wait to get it fixed. Good luck!

I have very curly hair. i have started to get my hair healthy and have been thinking of dying it,any good dye?

HMMM IMAC springs to mind....

I have very curly hair. i have started to get my hair healthy and have been thinking of dying it,any good dye?

well if you just got your hair healthy then i really wouldn't dye your hair! i have heard that it is bad to dye your hair! but you can do whatever you want to your hair as long as you are happy!!!

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

..........Like eat certain foods and/or vitamins?? I have really healthy hair. It's thin but strong, but it grows so slowly!

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

How long is your hair now? Normal rate of growth is around 1/2 inch a month.... For starter's don't cut !!!! Salons want you to have your have trimed often because they want your money.... Hair grows from the roots and not the ends... If you don't have split ends then your hair doesn't need a trim.... Longer you can go between trims the longer your hair will get.... The more you trim the shorter your hair is going to get :o( Patience is Key !!!! No heat is a major part also.... That means no hair dryers, curling irons or products of any kind..... They are bad for your hair and only damage what hair you do have :o( As for split ends.... If you do have them trim only right about where is needed or do a dusting.... One of best ways to reduce split ends and breakage of your hair so it can grow long is let your hair air dry and then comb out.... DON'T brush while your hair is wet.... Hair is like elastic and when wet is more prone to streching out and breaking.... Try to avoid brushing so much.... Use a wide tooth comb.... Massaging your head will help stimulate your growth also.... Anywhooo.... Good luck :O) Just a warning though.... There is NO fast way to grow hair long.... It takes time and patientce.... O and again NO PRODUCTS they will only hurt your hair in the long term.... I use Redken Clear Moisture shampoo and conditioner and love it....

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

No you can eat more protein to make it stronger and healthier but nothing can make it grow faster.

dont believe the myths saying the more you trim your har the faster it grows or when you shave it grows back faster. it is all myth.

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

I am not sure what to tell you because it seems like you are doing your best to make it grow faster, but some peoples hair just grows slowly. You might want to try and get some of that shampoo that has protein in it. Also go to a hair salon and ask them about it and see what they say too.

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

No, only the passing of time, not food supplements, will allow your hair to grow.

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

if u massage ur scalp regulary with cocunut oil ur hair will grow faster than usually believe me. also if u have a unehealthy diet and it effects ur hair growth take multi viatimns (not for hair).

Can you get your hair to grow longer?

There are several things you can do to increase your hair growth rate. First, examine your diet, lifestyle, or hair products. These all may be stunting hair growth. Eliminate alcohol, stress, and junk food. Up your water intake, take Amino Acids, and buy an all-natural hair growth stimulating product. If you do this, your hair will grow faster, and more importantly, healthier than ever.

I suggest you buy a high quality hair growth product that is all-natural. Find a hair growth product that contains hair growth stimulating essential oils such as Rosemary and Sage, natural herbs, and vitamin rich nutrients your hair needs to grow. Make sure you stray away from all natural products that use natural extracts. Extracts are not as powerful as essentials oils. Also, look at every product鈥檚 ingredients. Most products available in drugstores and retail stores contain phosphates, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum, mineral oil, and other lab created humectants that damage your hair. Also, stay away from hormone or chemical based hair growth stimulants if at all possible. These will alll damage your hair.

The best product that meets all of these standards, and has proven results, is Beauty 4 Ashes Super Hair Growth System. It contains everything you need to make your hair grow faster without using chemicals and hormones. I have personally seen its results. The products contain over 10 hair growth stimulating nutrients, and no artificial ingredients. Compared to other hair growth products, including Rogaine, Minoxidil, Nioxin, and Propecia, it costs a lot less and works just as fast, if not better. Further, it is all natural. You can find it easily at www.discoverb4a.com.

Remember to eat a lot of protein, especially fish for essential fatty acids. If you are a vegetarian, eat lots of legumes and beans. Drink 8-10 glasses of water and take B vitamins.

Good luck!

Tips for growing hair very long?

i really want long thick healthy hair. at the moment its just below my shoulders has anyone got any tips for growing my hair mega long?

Tips for growing hair very long?

Easy... don't get any haircuts. Not even little trims. But be sure to check for split ends occasionally. if you do have any, be sure to trim them yourself. Don't trust any salons.

Tips for growing hair very long?

Just make sure you eat healthy: that'll make your hair healthier looking. Also, be careful when you brush it so it doesn't get all split, etc.

Use high quality shampoos and conditioners to make it stronger. Maybe avoid using heat on it too much.

Tips for growing hair very long?

Just keep letting it grow, but about every 6 months or so be sure to get a trim, that will cut of all of your dead ends and keep your hair looking healthy. And ask your hair dresser what products will keep it growing and looking healthy : )

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed & nails done because I'm Black?

I'm Black myself %26amp; other Black people think that because I don't have a perm (relaxer) %26amp; nails decorated, then I'm crazy %26amp; not conforming to society? I wanna stay natural. I just wanna be me. Why can't I be me %26amp; have my own style?

My case manager is Black %26amp; told me today that she thinks I should get a perm-RIGHT after she chewed me out %26amp; called me irresponsible because my electricity bill was high. But it wasn't high because of the energy I used. It was because of the deposit I had to put down.

I can't get jobs by my OWN Black people because I don't have chemically straightened hair. They will not hire me. But I see other Blacks walking around with natural hair. Why do I need a perm if beauticians tell me I have healthy, good hair? Perms cost money I don't have, ESPECIALLY if done by a professional %26amp; if I were to perm it myself, I'd have no hair %26amp; that ain't healthy. Besides, I have a scalp condition.

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

Hun its just plain discrimination. If you like your hair natural I say keep it that way. Please continue to keep your head up and you will find a job. Most people think all black people don't want to better themselves but its not true.Racism is alive and well. We also get it from our own people.Be encouraged.

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

Go to school, get a degree, then they won't care!!!!

You don't have to conform to what society thinks you should do!!

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

tell them u like 2 b naturally beautiful

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

White and Asian and Hispanic and all kinds of wemon get their hair did and nails done, and im sure they get people who recommend them certain beauty tips, you shouldn't trip

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

im black and i go natural sista just be ur self and let what works for you work for u and forget the rest

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

I don't think you should conform to what society says is right. I say do what you do as long as you look nice and feel good doing it. If they wont hire you because of that then that is definitely not the job for you. Just keep your head up and keep searching.

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

I think that you have the type of personality that won't allow anyone to influence you to do something you don't want to do. It's a shame that we are harder on ourselves at times than our counterparts. Stay strong and true to yourself.

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

I don't know - why *can't* you be you and have your own style? You say that you want to be yourself and not conform, but you also seem to care a lot about everyone's opinion. This pulls you in opposite directions. You have to choose one or the other. Do you want people to be happy with you, or do you want to be happy with yourself? The good news is that once you are truly happy with your natural hair and nails, and really stick to your style without giving any recognition to the various opinions, everyone else will begin to accept you as well. But you have to manifest your contentment and really stay positive about all things, and never become inflamed by what people say or think when it comes to your style. The more you make it an issue of being black, and pointing fingers at those who want to change you, the less power you allow yourself to have to overcome the situation. (sorry, this whole answer turned out waayy too Dr. Phil)

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

Getting a perm can be damaging to the hair. Ask any stylist how this affects the hair shaft, etc. I feel the most important thing that you can do is feel comfortable and content with how you are to begin with.Sounds like you are and that is what matters most.Confidence in yourself goes a long way to promote yourself and have you show your potential in any job interview. Not to overdo it, not to seem too sure of one's self, that can backfire.Modesty is still needed then , but disregard what others tell you to do with your hair. It's your's and you have to wake up and have it daily, they don't. IF you have healthy hair then don't change that.

SO many others seem to do so much to their hair and don't know the damage they do when they alter what they've got.

I feel you should be glad for having good hair and not do what others tell you in that. I don't feel a perm will get a job for anyone faster or easier. Rely on your abilities to get that. Don't limit yourself to just applying to other black people too. I have mixed coworkers, we are hired on what we can do then. Rely on your skills and not ever think a perm is what you need.

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

girl its just about location. Where i'm from we have all natural sistas working in the Post Office. working in the city building everywhere. Girl just do you and don't let em hold you down!

Why do people think that I MUST get my hair fixed %26amp; nails done because I'm Black?

Stay the way you are. Natural hair looks so much prettier to me.

What are some good, easy-to-use hair products?

I've never been very knowledgable when it comes to beauty products. I am, however, envious of all those girls with that shiny, healthy-looking hair that I can never seem to achieve. My hair is straight, boring, never smooth...in fact, it's never anything I want it to be. Does anyone know any good hair hair products (that aren't the high-maintenance type) that will make my hair smoother and silkier?

What are some good, easy-to-use hair products?

You can do some hair treatment once a week at home, it's basically like a conditioner, but it's a deep one and it replenishes nutrients, adds shine to hair. You can put the treatment on your cleansed hair, and let it sit for a couple hours (you can tie your hair up and do something else during the time), then you can wash it off, after a few weeks, you can see the difference Here are some treatments I have been using and my comments: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio...

P.S. if you are just starting out and not want anything expensive, Aussie 3-minute is quite a good choice!

What are some good, easy-to-use hair products?

You could use a hair straightener just to make it smooth and silky.. and use a protective spray b4 u use it so u dont damage ur hair.. itll make it smooth

What are some good, easy-to-use hair products?

one thing that worked for me is L'Oreal mousse after you shower. Also try to use a different shampoo...sometimes your hair looks healthier and better with one kind of shampoo and not the other.

What are some good, easy-to-use hair products?

i dont know eney hair products but u shuld try highlites they look great

sorry i culdnt helpwith the hair products tho lol

What are some good, easy-to-use hair products?

to make hair smoother and silkier a must-have is a good hair conditioner. you muist never skip conditioner if you want smooth hair. you can also apply leave-on conditioner after washing your hair. also do hair treatment or hair mask for softening and conditioning your hair weekly. it will really help. if all else fails, go to the professional for hair treatment.

What are some good, easy-to-use hair products?

When I was very young, in the 60's, my older sister was really into making her hair shiny %26amp; healthy but we never had any money. She read in a Reader's Digest column about the Benefits of Mayonnaise as a terrific %26amp; cheap hair conditioner that would leave your hair shiny %26amp; thick. My sister swore by this as a cheap %26amp; wonderful product to use and always had super gorgeous hair. Here's how she explained that it needed to be used:

*Slightly warm up a tablespoon full of mayonnaise (NOT SALAD DRESSING) n a small pan (or, microwave in a microwaveable cup )

* Pour it into your hands and even it up in both hands

*Rub it into your dry hair

*Comb it through your hair evenly

*Leave it in your hair for a few hours (enclose your hair in a plastic bag that's tight for extra conditioning)

*Wash out with your usual shampoo

You should notice a shiny difference. ONLY DO THIS WITH YOUR HAIR 1-2x PER MONTH MAXIMUM %26amp; REMEMBER TO FULLY RINSE THE MAYONNAISE OUT BEFORE USING SHAMPOO.

Happy, shiny hair to you!

[My sister also collected rain water outside in those days to wash her hair with, AND used lemon juice with her regular shampoo for extra blonde highlights.]

Hair care for athletes who train twice a day??

I've heard most stylists recommend washing one's hair every other day. However, I'm an athlete, so I often wash my hair twice a day, resulting in a great deal of frizz. What can I do to ensure healthy hair??

Hair care for athletes who train twice a day??

I was one as well and I remember how dry my hair used to get. But I'd have rather risked dry hair rather greasy smelly hair, or worse dandruff. =) Use the mildest shampoo you can find. Condition your hair after every shampoo, use an intensive conditioning formula (there's one by St. Ives for example) once a week. A hot oil treatment once in a while. There are also several brands of anti-frizz serums available.

It would also be brilliant if you can manage to get an aloe vera treatment for your hair. It soaks your hair in pure aloe vera extract for about half an hour before shampooing off. That would make your hair soooo shiny and feeling so healthy.

Hair care for athletes who train twice a day??

Buzz cut.

Hair care for athletes who train twice a day??

Hi! I run competitevely on my high school's XC and track teams, and we often get together for morning and evening workouts.

What I've found best is to take a shower at night, after running in the evening (so you're not gross for the morning) then french braid/braid my hair and wear it that way for morning practice. Then if you can shower just your body, the braids should still be okay, and your hair won't be too gross, and you can just keep it that way throughout the day.

I've tried washing my hair two times a day and it does not work!! It's horrible for it and dries it out--you're almost better of to deal with it being a little gross during the day (but the braids should help). Or you can put a little hair powder in it to soak up any sweat/oil from morning practice (never tried this but they sell at at beauty stores).

Hope this helps, and what sacrifices we athletes make :-)

Hair care for athletes who train twice a day??

use john friedas frizz-ease serum and put your hair in a bun if u want it to be shiny not greasy run your hair under cold water after taking a shower and combing it out

My hair is dry and falling out, because of a medical condition. What would you suggest?

I am a African American woman who has a condition called Hypothyroidism, and it's causing my hair to become dry, brittle, and it's starting to fall out. I have thought about wearing a wig, a wig piece, and maybe even a weave, but I don't want to cause further damage. Is a full wig the only way to go?

I used to have beautiful, long, healthy black hair, and now I have just the opposite. What can I do?

My hair is dry and falling out, because of a medical condition. What would you suggest?

Use the Nioxin haircare range you can buy it online just google nioxin. It is a range that specializes with your kinda problem. It concentrates on the scalp encouraging hair growth, it will take around 6 weeks for you to notice a difference. They do a starter pack which contains everything you need for ?4. In the meantime if you feel you would be more comfortable wearing a wig, there are some great ones out there. Good luck babe!

My hair is dry and falling out, because of a medical condition. What would you suggest?

you can massage your scalp with wheatgerm oil.

My hair is dry and falling out, because of a medical condition. What would you suggest?

dont use too much medication

My hair is dry and falling out, because of a medical condition. What would you suggest?

Have you try shaving it,there's nothing wrong about being bald,at least you can save a lot of money, for shampoo,conditioner,re-bond,hot oil, relaxation, straightening, hair color and other really, really, really expensive products, you've got my word for it

My hair is dry and falling out, because of a medical condition. What would you suggest?

Have they prescribed you with the usual thyroid replacement drugs?TSH- Eat loads of veg and drink loads of water take vitamin supplements with a combination of all these your hair should feel better- a good shampoo and conditioner helps too and treat it to a hot oil or deep intensive mask every now and then! Good Luck!

My hair is dry and falling out, because of a medical condition. What would you suggest?

having a medical problem, follow the doctor's treatment, hypothiroidism isn't something grave, but tell hi that you have a hair felling problem because of the medication so that he can try to change it, and then visit a dermatologist, you cannot use cosmetic products when you are having a medical problem because it's nule, the cosmetic products act as a chemical help to the outside the organism, like a good conditioner it is conditioning the keratine from the hair, it isn't make it stop falling when the problem is inside the body

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. It nourishes and

revitalizes dry dull damaged hair to softer shinier healthier hair everytime you wash it, it might cost alot but it's worth it;

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Comb your hair about 20 times each side so your natural oils can fall into the rest of your hair for natural shine

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid combing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

Hi

I wash my hair every other day

i suggest u that wash u'r hair after 2 day but apply oil

for 1 hour before then wash so it was not dry ,frizzy

I hope this help U

Good Luck!!!!

How often do you wash your hair?

I wash mine once a month, whether it needs it or not.

How often do you wash your hair?

I prefer to wash my hair every other day. If i leve if for the third my hair just does not cooperate.

How often do you wash your hair?

My hair is dry, wavy, and sometimes oily. When my hair is oily, which is ocasionally, I wash my hair everyday. But that's what causes it to be dry. Usually in the winter and fall, I wash my hair every other day, and usually in the spring and summer, I wash my hair everyday.

My schedule:

Spring and Summer- wash everyday because it is hot out

Winter and Fall - wash every other day because cool weather is the season of hair frizz which make hair dry if you wash your hair everyday.

For your hair type, I suggest during the spring and summer, every other day and during the fall and winter, no more than every other day.

If you want your hair healthier, I suggest you condition it at least 2 times a week.

Hope I Helped.

Hair Dye Virgin! What color should I dye my hair (picture included)?

I have to dye it because I'm an actress and the part I'm playing calls for darker colored hair. Although, it needs to fit the part (a russian) I would also like for it to look natural- so I don't look completely stupid in every day life. I have a picture of myself and if you could give me a picture of a hair color you think would work that'd be great.

I have never dyed my hair before, though! I really don't want to damage it. Is it true dying your hair damages it? Or are there some precautions or steps I can take to ensure my hair stays healthy?

Thanks!

Hair Dye Virgin! What color should I dye my hair (picture included)?

you hair can still stay healthy. jsut use color shapoo and conditiner.

and miley cyrus has really pretty dark hair i love it

Hair Dye Virgin! What color should I dye my hair (picture included)?

I think your hair is pretty dark already! (but it might of been just the picture...) Anyways, hair coloring can be damaging but you CAN take some precatutions such as:

-using a natural hair dye. They work as good as those chemical filled ones

- Condition your hair daily! Don't slack off in the shower! Make sure you buy some conditioners for dyed hair!

Hair Dye Virgin! What color should I dye my hair (picture included)?

First of all you have gorgeous hair! But since you have to dye it I suggest going with a couple shades darker, nothing too dark! I have a very similar color to yours ( a little more red) I tried to dye it darker and it came out midnight black so be careful if you're using a home kit.

perhaps the medium brown off the link below...good luck!

Hair Dye Virgin! What color should I dye my hair (picture included)?

Darlin,

My advice is to head to the beauty shop...let a professional, handle this....I'm not going to give u bad advice by saying Oh Yeah!!! go for it.....That would be cold blooded...that's not me. Ck w/ the saloon...I bet U can get this dirt cheap if they think their work is going to be on display...Good Luck!!! w/ the shoot!!!

Hair Dye Virgin! What color should I dye my hair (picture included)?

Please, please, use Robert Craig hair dye. I am in no way affiliated with Robert Craig, but his hair dye makes your hair soft and shiny, and it does NOT smell and have harsh chemicals like ammonia. I was once a hair dye virgin, and oh how I wished I had used this first. Instead, I just went to a drugstore and bought a hair dye, and the result was not good. Even after my hair had been dyed red, bleached, and then dyed brown again (my natural color), I went to a fancy salon and even their hair dye salon would not even stay on my hair and made my hair dry. Then, I discovered Robert Craig. It was so easy, and they have a free consultation on their website so you will know exactly what color you will need.

Even if one day you dye your hair the wrong color and you go to the salon, they will probably bleach it. NEVER bleach your hair (unless, you want it to look like that. ) Just bye a Robert Craig hair color and it will cover your bleached hair no problem.

I would suggest their ash brown color, if you want your hair to be a dark brown/black. But they have many shades of brown, etc.

Im 21 and little by little my hair keeps going back?

on the corners, i hate it,

what can i do to stop this and fill the corners up?

what kind of "gel" should i use? whats healthy for hair

i like to curl my hair so i need some help in preventing hair loss

Im 21 and little by little my hair keeps going back?

don't worry it will stop retreating when it reaches your neck. If nothing else you could try rogaine or some other formula to try to keep it where it is. May or may not work. didn't for me, mine is still in full retreat down my back, I figure it will stop when it reaches my ankles.

Im 21 and little by little my hair keeps going back?

Usually when hair starts falling out at such an early age it is hereditary. I have to ask the question, is it falling out or wearing out? If it is falling out I would suggest that you stop curling it and even stop using gels. Use heavy leave in conditioner. You can never use too much. Gels have a tendency to dry out the hair making it brittle and easier to fall out. Considering your age, it may be wise to find you a good dermatologist and get a better diagnosis. Hair can fall out quickly, so the sooner the better. Catch it now before it gets out of control and becomes too late.

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

The most probable cause is fleas, ringworm, yeast or bacterial infection or mange. A puppy ISN'T likely to have a Thyroid issue at this young age.

I would agree your puppy isn't Totally healthy or he wouldn't have these issues. Your pup needs a vet visit ASAP!

You can email me if you have more specific questions.

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

he can't be very healthy if he is loosing hair there is something wrong therefore he needs to get to teh vets.

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

mange and or fleas..... treat the underlying cause

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

Your little dog may have a thyroid problem. Get him in to your vet before he loses more hair or his thyroid gets worse.

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

Sounds like mange or allergies. You need to go to a vet right away...................................

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

this has happened to a few of my dogs and sometimes its mange dogs that are outside a lot are more likely to get it and the best answer i have for you is to go to a vet and get your dog checked out by a pro

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

even a healthy dog can go bald, or they have nerve problems but yes taking the animal to the vet is a good thing, sometimes its allergies as well. it doesnt mean anything bad nessicerilly. espescially if it doesnt seem to be bothering the dog.

My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

What breed is he? I know Dachshunds tend to go bald on their ears and head. Greyhounds will go bald on their butts and undersides and then it grows back in darker. That happened to my greyhound. If you do not know why he is going bald take him to the vet. It could also be ringworm which is contagious sometimes.

I know that eating right promotes healthy hair , so what can i eat for my hair to grow healthier and

The secret formula for hair growth is to see that hair remains healthy. And these simple home remedies which will help your hair to grow can be made at home and work out less expensive than other alternative forms of medicines. So try

http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c... for more details.

I know that eating right promotes healthy hair , so what can i eat for my hair to grow healthier and faster.?

You should eat foods rich in protein. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Make sure you are eating white meat rather than dark meat.

Don't take those pills that are supposed to make your hair nicer, they are very bad for you.

Also, keep track of your calcium intake. You should get enough milk, cheese, and other dairy products in on your daily diet. It affects the glossiness of your hair and the strength of your nails.

I know that eating right promotes healthy hair , so what can i eat for my hair to grow healthier and faster.?

Fruits and vegetables, fish (salmon preferably), lots of water.

I know that eating right promotes healthy hair , so what can i eat for my hair to grow healthier and faster.?

PROTEIN HAIR AND NEILS ARE MADE UP OF PROTEIN BEST POSSIBLE ANSWER GOOD LUCK!*!*!*!

I know that eating right promotes healthy hair , so what can i eat for my hair to grow healthier and faster.?

Well it depends what you and your taste buds like! But you should eat a nice serving of fruit and veggies.... also you should eat a nice amount of white meat, like fish, chicken and other white meats... But if that's not your style then instead of eating fat-filled hamburger, try turkey burger. It has less fat, and is better for you, your hair and your body in the long run. For drinks i would suggest water...but since i usually break down, i would try juices and milk. My weakness is pop and sugar-filled drinks... So i try and subsitute it for water. Or if you like ice-tea, hot tea then try those too!! Well i hope this helps you grow your nice and healthy long hair! Good Luck.

~Hope that i helped...

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

I've noticed for the past couple weeks 1-4 strands of my hair would fall out (more than usual) sometimes when i pull my hair to squeeze the water out of it or massage my scalp when it has shampoo/conditioner in it. im really upset%26amp;scared im gunna be bald or something. Im 14 %26amp; i have healthy thick hair %26amp; i dont want it to fall out!!! i just read that stress causes your hair to fall out sometimes, that would make sense because i havent been in school since september because of anixety (long story) and im super worried%26amp;stressed out im gunna fail the whole grade. now im even more worried that my hairs falling out! i love my hair and i dont want it to be falling oout =( is this normal to loose hair in the shower (if it is please say how much hair your supposed to loose in the shower) is it cuz of stress?? thanks so much!!! =D

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

no just don;t scrub as hard, if you have oily hair and grey hairs then you might have a stress problem

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

Maybe. But yes, it is normal. And especially because of conditioner. Conditioner makes hair fall out of most people, and I'm one of them. Just don't use conditioner too often and you'll be fine.

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

you are suppose to lose 100 hairs a day . that is why you hair comes out in the shower ..

My hair does the same thing .

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

I woldn't worry about 1-4 strands, I think stress can make hair fall out but in more chunky patterns. Everyone's hair naturally falls out over time. I know whenver I shower I lose around 20 strands! That seems like alot but I have really thick hair and don't mind lol, I wouldn't worry about it until you start seeing bald patches.

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

it is normal for hair like that to fall out

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

no, its that u scrub too hard and u may be using too much hot water

-dan

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

I know what you go through stresswise. It may be becuase of stressful, i really dont know

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

Hair can fall out due to stress but the amount that you are loosing is normal. Everyone looses hair everyday. You are not going to go bald. Your body also regenerates new hair.

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

Yeah, you'll be fine. I lose a ton of hair every single day. Probably like, 20 strands in the shower and at least as much in my hairbrush later, and my hair is still thick and healthy. Don't worry about it, that's normal. I lose even more in fall, and the most in spring. A lot of girls shed a lot of hair, so don't be surprised if you start losing more soon. It grows back in all the time.

edit: I read once that the daily average is 50, you just don't notice most of them falling out.

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

No this is completely normal. I pull out way more than a couple strands of hair.

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

sounds like mine...so sad. get coconut and egg whites your need protein bro

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

You poor thing!!!You are not going to be bald! All of us lose hair daily up to 100 strands You notice it more because you heard about stress and hair loss so now you notice something that otherwise would go unnoticed. My daughter is 18 and has very long thick dark brown hair its really beautiful and ever since she got her period I notice the pile of hair that is left in the drain and its more than 10 strands! She got her period when she was 15 so you do the math her and hair is still thick and beautiful because we actually regrow new hairs everyday too. So honey, DON"T add to your worries with your hair its completely normal. You are noticing it more because you are in anxiety mode right now.Now we need to work on your anxiety in general. I hate to see a sweet girl like you worried so much! What can we do to help you through this difficult time you are going through? and please stop worrying about your hair...you are too young to be so stressed

let us know what we can do to help you

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

Yes. Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

if it does, don't worry because i am in the same situation, i stress out and all that stuff i lose a lot of hair. your hair will grow back. maybe even more hair then before. so don't worry about it because i lose a lot of hair and i have A LOT more hair then i used to.

Can my stress be the reason some of my hair falls out in the shower?

As others have said, it's perfectly normal! You lose a lot of hair each day, and new strands replace it - you're just noticing it because you're in the shower at the time. Think of how much hair comes off when you brush your hair - it's nothing to worry about! As for being stressed - try to relax! Meditate, listen to soothing music - or take a short holiday if you can. Anything to help you recover from your anxiety.

What is the best way to get good hair?

I want to get my hair nice healthy and long, but i dont know how to do it, so i always wear my hair in braids, and when i take the braids out, i always end up getting more, because although my hair is not bad, i know that if i leave it out long enough i would soon manage to damage it. What should i do to get healthy, nice hair?

What is the best way to get good hair?

"REFORMED TROLL" is a complete f'ing jerkface. Ignore his stupid ***. Guaranteed, he was dumped by a black woman, and writing awful things on here is his only revenge. My white uncle loves black women and his life partner for many years is a wondeful black woman.

The best way to get good hair, regardless of your ethnicity is to do what works well for your type of hair.

Don't fight your hair type!! Wear what is easiest and uses the least chemical processing.

Don't try to make your hair look "white", it'll look like you are trying to hard. Look up to Lauryn Hill, and copy her style. She generally keeps her hair short, but in excellent condition. She either puts it in an afro-like style or braids.

Look at pics of Nia Long and Halle Berry with short hair in the mid-nineties. Also, look at Josephine Baker in the 1920's.

They were smoking hot, but kept a style that was natural to their hair type and they looked wonderful with it.

I think Halle Berry looks awful with long hair, personally.

Stay away from any chemicals [relaxer, dye, perms]. Alternatively, splurge on hair oils, thick conditioners, and any kindof treatment that will give moisture to your hair w/o changing it chemically. Indian stores have this great hair oil you can wear overnight, and it smells really great. I think it's called "Vatika", I try to use it frequently.

Also, get your hair trimmed on a regular basis. It'll make the shaft of the hair healther/shinier if the ends are in good shape.

Also, keep your natural hair color. Again, dyes will alter the chemical nature of your hair = bad. Also, unnatural hair colors are on the way out. so sick of women w/ highlights and grown out roots. Women look sooo much sexier when they embrace their god given color. *whew, steps off soapbox*

What is the best way to get good hair?

use stuff on it

What is the best way to get good hair?

Good hair is all in the genes. Well, that, and conditioner.

What is the best way to get good hair?

you stick with your braids they look really nice but if you want a change that badly then buy frizz ease cream!

What is the best way to get good hair?

You already have good hair. It always amazes me when you Black girls start talking about 'good' hair, as if you don't believe God already gave it to you. You have an inferiority complex my dear. Maybe you can start by stop putting Drano on your hair to make it straight. Have you seen what Drano does to hair clogs in drains? Don't you think it would do the same thing to your hair? Then you can stop the almost daily use of fiery hot irons %26amp; curlers in an attempt to get your hair straight looking. Next, leave the braids alone because they are going to eat up your hairline till you don't have one left.

What is the best way to get good hair?

you have to treat the actual hair and using braids. Use a good conditioner and take it easy on styling products. natural is better, don't try to be white

What is the best way to get good hair?

My kids are mixed so they have that curly puffy hair. I would first wash their hair and use VO5 hair straightener right after, and comb it straight. This is a leave in formula.

Then the next morning, I would put in VO5 frizz rescue. This will cut down the puffy hair. Their hair is down to the middle of their back so you can imagine a lot of puffy, dried out, frizzy hair.

VO5 is a good product and it's cheap. And NO, I don't work for VO5 and this is NOT a commercial.

Use it and you will see the difference. It smells good too.

What is the best way to get good hair?

you really have not said what texture hair you have...is it like 4a? braids are nice to grow the hair long so you can keep the braids until your hair gets the length that you want and then wear it natural and loose or get a relaxer. But you must study how to maintain you relaxer so your hair does not get damaged. this lady is helpful..
