Two really good [and really funny] hair questions....?

1) Why do the shampoo/conditioner/etc. companies say their product helps keep your hair healthy, when all it is really is dead cells ?

Also...

2) Why to they say put conditioner on the ends of your hair and why does it really matter if you have split ends or not ? After all, your hair grows from the ROOT not the ends right ?

I put it all over i've tried that whole bottom thingy and its not as good...but it does save conditioner

well the shampoo %26amp;%26amp; conditioner companys say that to encorage you 2 but there stuff but healthy could also mean look good, for your second question u shud put conditioner on the ends to not make your head greecy cause then your hair will look greecy and also your hair does grow from the roots but your hair also has to be in good shape if u no what i mean to grow and also if you dont trim ooff all the split ends they will eventually grow to the roots and your hair wont grow and also it doesnt look very nice

I don't know about #1, but for #2:

I find split ends gross. And it means (sometimes like if you fry your hair) that its damaged. And it doesnt look good to me...

split ends are at normally cause by BRUSHING not COMBING through knots! so its whoever fault who doesn't use a comb! conditioner can sometimes help repair them, but the best thing to do is just get the ends trimmed

yea.....it's all propoganda...........like, why are there 80 kinds of toothpaste out there when ONLY flouride prevents tooth decay?..................they ALL have flouride, all those other additives(peroxide/baking soda/etc.) won't help with anything.

But, question 2:

They say to put conditioner on the ends of your hair because that hair is the oldest and most damaged. Also, the ends are the most dry because none of the oils from your head reach them. That's why you don't put conditioner at the root of the hair, it'd be a GREASY mess!

You take the moisture out of the roots (AKA Shampoo the roots VERY well!)

and ADD moisture to the ends! :)

2.) becus if you but it on the root it weighs your hair down. if you put it just on the ends it still d4etangles w/o weighing your hair down. split ends: if you have split end they cant grow becus yeah idk really know. sorry. but it looks bad so if oyu have em get a haircut wow i never really thought about split ends.

Well I don't know about the shampoo/conditioner people...but; when you have split ends, they can split all the way up to your roots [where your hair grows from] and make it fall out.

just for the record, I totally luv how you responded to that lil cali gurl and all those others who disrespected you . Anyways in answer to your questions. For the first one I am not very sure but for the second trimming split ends makes your hair look 'healthier'. It doesn't really affect the growth as much but oh well I guess society cares more about looks know?
