Wash your hair every other day or so. Don't wash it everyday. Eat healthy foods. Also, try not to use hot appliances, such as hair straighteners and curling irons, too often. It dries out your hair. There are some products out there that can really improve the look and health of your hair. I personally like Garnier Fructis 3 minute mask. It deeps cleans your hair and makes it feel really soft.

Do not blow dry, flat iron,or curl without product in your hair. Use products to protect your hair from thermal dammage.

Do not over process your hair. You cannot dye it black one day and blonde the next then goto red. The old color will remain under the new and definitely affects the porosity and strength ofyour hair.

Please, do not use Pantene. Use it to clean your shower door and not your hair. The ph is too high and its not good for your hair. Deep conditioners are good once in a while, but I'd rather see you spend a little more at a salon for a good product that will meet your specific hair needs. (Using the right product from the beginning will prevent the need for deep conditioning or too many trims later.)

Never brush wet hair. That is when hair is the most fragile and will snap. Use a wide tooth comb and start from the bottom and work your way up.

Frequent trims will not make your hair grow faster. however, Short styles should be maintained every 4-6 weeks. medium to longer styles, trim every 6-8 weeks.

Do not use sun in, unless you like the color orange.

Brush your scalp with a boars hair brush. It will stimulate the scalp and help to disperse the natural oils from your scalp to your ends.

Most people do not need to shampoo every day. Do so every other day. In a pinch, when you need to restyle or feel greasy, rub some baby powder in your hands and flip your head over and run hands through scalp. That will absorb excess oil. Apply conditioner to the mid length of your hair to the ends. That's the dryest part of your hair which requires the most attention.

Rinse chlorine out of your hair after the pool. Preferabbly shampoo, but definitely rinse. Wet hair prior to swimming. Your hair is like a sponge, when it is wet, it will not suck up as much chlorine that way.

Email me with any other hair questions, I'd be glad to assist.
