Are you eating enough? Are you eating all the right things? There are many possibilities why your hair is falling out. Another reason could be alopecia. That's why it's a good idea to see your doctor. :-)

There can be many reasons why your hair could be falling out in addition to your diet. I would see a doctor and while you are there mention the type of diet you are on.
A normal healthy diet should not cause hair loose and even many of the fad diets don't so please see a doctor.

I think you should see your doctor to be sure, but when I was losing my hair ( to the point of small bald spots), the only thing my doctor could tell me was keep your hair cut short and use a comb not a brush....... it helped...

are you eating enough protein? that's usually one of the main reasons for hair loss while on a diet. make sure you eat enough meat! and get enough calories in general; if you start feeling weak or your period stops or anything like that, you might be starving yourself. Good luck :)

Call your doctor first thing Monday morning. He/she will know if it's because of your diet or stress, or a combo or both. Then you can go about correcting it. You may need supplements - there are special ones for hair. I lost a lot of hair after my mom passed over, that's what nerves can do. You can also check out specific hair supplements at your health food store. My dermatologist prescribed a special liquid to put on my scalp. It worked great. So, you may also want to check that out.
