Clairol Jazzings Gentle Shiny-Sheer in colour clear damage my hair?

Hi,

I have long healthy brown hair. I have never dyed it or anything but I wanted to add extra shine (even though it already has some level of shine). I would just like it to be super shiny. A woman at Sally Beauty Supply sold me a bottle of Clairol Jazzing clear and said it's a hair glaze that will add shine without damaging my hair. Does anyone else have info on this?

I'm a bit scared to use it as it was in with the hair colours. It does say it contains no alcohol, peroxcide, or ammonia but I just want to make sure it won't damage my hair AT ALL. I've taken a lot of care to keep my hair healthy and wouldn't want to make it greasy or dried out from this product. I've tried searching for answers on Google and they are mixed. Some people say this will smooth hair and make it super shiny and nice, others say it dries hair out!

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Sissy

With the great care that you have already given your hair, I wouldn't do anything that might dry it out. There has to be some chemicals in it to do the job that they claim it does. Why dont you try a product like Citrishine (found at drugstores). It does the same job but can be washed out like any hair gel would.

looking to add shine?

seriously, try AVEDA products.

They have a line called Brilliant. I started using them in 2004. A mass of products that will enhance the shine in your hair ORGANICALLY (not naturally, as there is a difference) now thats the way to take care of your hair. Promotes shiny, healthy, clean hair. I buy the shampoo by the liter, its more expensive that way but its lasts and lasts.

Their Shampure Shampoo and Conditioner is a pure, gentle daily shampoo鈥攚ith MorikueTM protein鈥攃leanses and fortifies any type of hair.

Or why not try some Brilliant Spray on Shine??

I would first recommend Bio-Silk silk therapy and perhaps Aveda Shine with Vitamin E before using anything that has too many chemicals or a history of drying out peoples hair. Bio-silk can now be found at almost all grocery stores, and aveda products will probably be at your higher end stores. Blow dry the bio-silk silk therapy into your hair for an illustrious shine that really gets attention. (i sound like a commercial, but its true!!!). Also, be safe, not sorry :D
