My hair is so damaged from my straightener HOW DO I GET IT HEALTHY AGAIN?!?

well, for one don't use it for a long while.....then go to the salon and have them condition your hair. when you do decide to use your staightener again...use it with some chi hair serum it will protect your hair. good luck!!

Try cutting it and not straightening it anymore.... cutting it will get rid of slip ends and allow your hair to start growing it again..

Stop using straighteners, have the fried ends cut off, and use a good conditioner. An overnight conditioning treatment or mask is also a good idea. Fredric Fekkai makes a great one.

Make sure that you always always use a heat protector. always. I'm a huge sally beauty fan you'll find everything you need. i reccomend Ceramic Silk Thermal Protection Curling Iron Glaze, I use it and adore it. Also at sally beauty they have a deep conditioning treatment. I really liked it alot. Also a shampoo that actually works very well is panteene ice shine. however don't use it for very long because it has waxes in it. use it until you hair feels better but then alternate using it.

Can't. Have to wait until it grows out again. Don't use a straightener. Or if you do, use it only occasionally.

You could try conditioning it a lot, and not using the straightener, but really your hair isn't a living part of your body. It can't replenish itself the way your skin can. The only way to "fix" major damage is to cut it off and/or let new healthy hair grow in.

Curly hair is beautiful, by the way. I have straight hair and I've always thought having curly hair would be fun. I've also noticed that people who have curly hair who straighten it, tend to look a bit odd since that is not the way their hair naturally is. If you have naturally curly hair, it probably flatters you and your face the best. If you're going to wear it curly, buy some curl cream or shampoo for curly hair because it keeps the curls smooth and together, instead of frizzy. Just don't use too much or your hair will end up looking wet and greasy.

Try using some leave-in conditioners at night. Wash your hair less often, or with diluted shampoo, or with very gentle shampoo. DON'T use a straightener or a hair dryer until your hair grows out, and then ONLY once in a while with proper straightening/blow drying cream! The cream will only protect your hair a little bit, though, so don't think that's a fix.

What you need is a "health week". First, go get a haircut, and cut 1 - 2 inches, to get rid of your dead ends. Then, wash your hair every day for a week. Do not blow dry or straighten. Use healing products - here are some good ones (shampoo, conditioner, treatment).

If your hair cannot be allowed to dry on its own, use mousse to helo it dry into curls. Here is a safe one.

This should help a lot. Don`t only do this kind of thing once your hair is dead. If you do a few "health days" every month, hopefully you won't have to do a full week again.
