I like Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner! It's expensive but worth it;-)

I like Pantene conditioner Sleek and shine, or something like that. It has the green label on it. This conditioner has done wonders for my hair, and I recommend it!

Garnier Fructis Length %26amp; Strength. It is specifically for split ends, fragile or hard-to-grow long hair. I use that everyday. Also 2-3 times a week I use Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner 3 Minute Masque. I leave it on my ends before I get in the shower.

They are both under $5 too!

ps (mayonnaise works great too...but I can't stand the smell!)

I don't have any specific brands of conditioner that I can recommend for you, but I can tell you what not to use. Don't use anything with wax in it (like panteen). The wax is drying but gives the illusion of being hydrating because your hair feels so smooth after using it. Use a conditioner that says it is for dry and damaged or color treated hair. I also recommend heat conditioning it. To do this, you put the conditioner into damp hair and then cover it with a shower cap. Then get out of the shower and blow dry your head (with the shower cap still on) for ten to twenty minutes. This opens up the hair follicles and allows the conditioner to seep down to the core of the shaft. After blow drying, thoroughly rinse your hair and then apply a leave in conditioner, such as Infusium 23.

One side burn is probably straight because that hair is more dry or more damaged than the other side. Make sure you shampoo and condition your sideburns when you shower.

A very good one is called K-Pak Reconstruct Conditioner. It is made by a company named Joico. Its good for slightly damaged hair. For hair with a bit more damage to it, try Joico's K-Pak Reconstruct Deep-Penetrating Reconstructor. These work very well for both dry %26amp; damaged hair.

Joico products are professional salon products, and you will not find them for sale in drugstores, etc. You need to go to a good salon which sells this brand. Its going to cost you more than the average conditioner would cost you, but the results are well worth it. You get what you pay for.

What I would suggest is "Kerphix" by Nexxus". Use about a teaspoon of the product. Distribute the product evenly through out your hair and place a plastic bag over your hair. Either get out in the sun for 30 minutes or heat a dampened old towel in the microwave, turban the towel around your head and let cool, rinse with cool water. Repeat weekly. Do not condition your hair more than once a week.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps and good luck.
