Planning on getting my hair dyed/tinted - ways to keep it healthy?

I have dark brown hair and wish to tint it just slightly lighter but am aware that it can be bad for the hair. What are some ways to keep my hair in good condition whilst it has been tinted?

There are different types of shampoo's out there for dyed hair with conditioning in it just look for the one that states that on the bottle (for dyed hair)

Here it is : Go to your local home depot, they sell a water filter for your shower head. No TOOLS needed and the start up costs less than 14 bucks! The filter last 3-4 months and replacement costs less than 9 dollars. This keeps all the added chemicals OFF YOUR fragile hair and allows your hair care products to work their absolute best! This is something I learned a couple of years back, and I tint my hair every 4 months. It made all the difference in the world. The tip came from a good hairdresser who said" why spend all that money on hair care products when your water is doing more damage and stopping your products from working effectively. He was right! Hope this helps you :)

Go to a salon and buy some moisturizing shampoo. Make sure its sulfate free, as sulfate makes the dye fade faster.
