Hair dye is very harmful for hair?

what should I do to keep my hair strong and healthy? can hair dyeing affects my hair when I will get older? will I lose a lot of hair? will I be bald?

Hair dye is very harmful for hair?

hair dye seriously kills your hair and too much to often will give you a nasty wiry texture, if your going darker, ask your hairstylist about glaze instead, it gives the same result but its GOOD for your hair. it makes it shiny and healthy definatly go for glaze!

don't worry about it. hair is dead by the time it leaves your scalp, just if you dye it a lot, give a rest every once in awhile....

My wife is a hair dresser. She said that over the counter color is very harmful to the hair. You need to have it done professionally. When you use chemicals on the hair, you take the protein out. You need to replenish and put back the protein that was taken out. Her suggestions are Redken extreme or Bed Head "Dumb Blonde Reconstructor). Both products are good for adding protein. Also, do weekly treatments using Redken. it is an interbond system. It works from the inside out. You can purchase these products at a salon who sells Redken products.

Losing your hair and/or going bald is going to happen only genetically. However you could get split ends. I am going to type something out regarding the whole situation with hair. Take what you need and leave out what doesn't apply to you and I think it will help out a lot. :)

Avoid permanent hair color--if you want to color your hair use semi permanent because it washes out in 30 days without any damage. And you have to color your hair every month anyway because of the roots--so you're not losing anything by going safe.

Brush your hair with a natural bristle brush before washing your hair. It helps spread some natural oils that would otherwise be washed completely from your hair. Invest in good shampoo and conditioner--I love Bedhead's Moisture Maniac. Store bought shampoos are as strong as laundry detergent--and you wouldn't wash your hair with laundry detergent. Try deep conditioning your hair 1-2 times a week. I love Bedhead's Dumb Blonde because it's very creamy and takes about 10 minutes instead of the regular 30 minutes.

Wash your hair less frequently--if you wash it every day, start washing it every other day. Use a dime-to-quarter sized drop on your roots ONLY. Rub it into your scalp with the pads of your fingers, rinse, and wash once more. When using conditioner work it from ends to roots. Leave it on there for 5 minutes and rinse with cooler water. Be sure to use the cool setting on your hair dryer and use as little styling product as possible. Some good ones are Biolage Gel, Mousse, and Hair Spray, and Redken Glass is great for making your hair vibrantly shiney.

It sounds like a lot of work but once you get used to everything it's second nature. You get what you pay for in the case of shampoos and other hair products. Going more expensive for salon quality products means 1) no harsh chemicals, 2) you use less of the product because of the richer consistency, and 3) you save yourself from a lot of damage.

Also taking a vitamin called biotin really helps with the strength and condition of hair, nails, and skin.

I hope this helps! :)

hair dye does not damage the hair as long as it is a demi just depositing and not lifting. bleach is what kills the hair. bleach strip the hair of it natural pigments and feel thin and strawny. condition your hair with moisturizing conditioner. if you blow dry your hair always use a proctective cream or spray in your hair before setting the medium heat to the dryer on it.

Considering all the harmful effects chemicals do to alter it's natural appearance, I wouldn't be so quick to add your name to the list of those already experiencing hair loss because of it.

I like using the right terminology. Color is okay if you know what u are doing, especially if you are depositing coloring which it seems that is what you are doing. I would go to a plce like Sallys Beauty Supply and try a demi which is for depositing color only. If you need to know what in the world I am talking about go in and talk with a stylist and share your concerns and tell them what you are planning to do, some of us are cool.

yes it is especially if you use European products which damages you hair very easily. Try using natural products that do not use harmful chemicals.

Dyeing does harm hair, but it's most harmful with drastic changes (bleaching or blond to black for example).

"if" people go bald it's because of heredity, disease or alergy, and "not" from hair dyeing their hair. And, not everyone goes bald. To keep your hair healthy take multiple vitamins and have good nutrition. Earn lots of money so that if you do start to lose your hair you can get "hair plugs" and fill in where you lost it.
