How do I get curly hair?

I have pretty thick, golden-red, healthy, relaxed hair a little past my shoulders. Whenever I get my hair cut, they always compliment me on it, tell me I should never ever dye it, etc, so I know I'm lucky to have the hair I do. The thing is, I really love the look of naturally curly red hair, and mine is only slightly wavy. Is there a way to get it curly without getting a perm or fussing too much with it? I totally can't use curling irons because I either burn myself or my hair won't hold the curl.

the girl in the pictures hair looks like its been curled by a curling iron. and yeah you're right you are ssoooo lucky to have your hair color. my hair is still its natural color... but it keeps changing all of the time. it used to be light brown but it is now really really dark brown-almost black. oh yeah, and I already am getting gray hairs (and I'm only 15 and a half).

I have wavy hair and this is how I get mine really curly without a curling iron:

1. I wash my hair

2. Towel dry it

3. Brush/ comb it out

4. Blow dry my hair for 3-4 minutes so my scalp isnt wet.

5. Braid my hair (you can french braid it or regular braid it)

6. Sleep on it.

7. When I get up, check and see if my hair is still wet, if so I'll blow dry it while it is still in braids if not I take the braids out.

8. Then I run my fingers through it because combing and brushing might make my hairy poofy.

9. I use VO5 Extreme Style Curvaceous Curls styling mousse all over my hair (except for the top and my bangs)

10. I put it back in braid and finish getting ready.

11. I straigten my bangs and then take out the braid.

And then I'm done. If you do that it will be really pretty! Good luck : )

after you shower, put your hair in tight french braids (not too tight)

sleep in them and then when you wake up, take out the braids and put hair moose in it to hold it curly for the day
