My little dog is losing his hair on his butt and face he is healthy and playful?

The most probable cause is fleas, ringworm, yeast or bacterial infection or mange. A puppy ISN'T likely to have a Thyroid issue at this young age.

I would agree your puppy isn't Totally healthy or he wouldn't have these issues. Your pup needs a vet visit ASAP!

You can email me if you have more specific questions.

Your little dog may have a thyroid problem. Get him in to your vet before he loses more hair or his thyroid gets worse.

this has happened to a few of my dogs and sometimes its mange dogs that are outside a lot are more likely to get it and the best answer i have for you is to go to a vet and get your dog checked out by a pro

even a healthy dog can go bald, or they have nerve problems but yes taking the animal to the vet is a good thing, sometimes its allergies as well. it doesnt mean anything bad nessicerilly. espescially if it doesnt seem to be bothering the dog.

What breed is he? I know Dachshunds tend to go bald on their ears and head. Greyhounds will go bald on their butts and undersides and then it grows back in darker. That happened to my greyhound. If you do not know why he is going bald take him to the vet. It could also be ringworm which is contagious sometimes.
